OBLIQUE GATE

Transaction-level eligibility verification

Verify every wager. Prove every decision. Independently.

Oblique Gate sits at the wager boundary to establish eligibility at the point of acceptance. Each decision is computed from a frozen, sequenced snapshot of registry, customer, session and policy state—then packaged so an operator, reviewer or regulator can re-run it independently.

Re-run a decision yourself

This illustrative snapshot represents a wager request where a customer’s self-exclusion was sequenced before the wager. Press re-run: your browser evaluates the rule, creates a canonical evidence record and computes its SHA-256 commitment locally. The same snapshot produces the same outcome and commitment every time.

One gate at the decision boundary

Oblique Gate is a fail-closed eligibility control for wagering services. It addresses the timing gap created when eligibility is checked before a wager but can change before the wager is accepted.

Eligibility

Contemporaneous verification

Every wager is assessed from a committed bundle containing customer linkage, registry status and sequence, market and session state, and the governing policy version.

Control

Fail-closed decisions

Where registry eligibility or its currency relative to the wager cannot be established, the gate refuses the wager rather than silently accepting it on stale state.

Evidence

Independent replay

Each decision produces committed state, policy and outcome data. A reviewer can re-run the published rules from the evidence package without relying on application logs.

How it works

STEP 1

Freeze

Everything the decision depends on—identity, registry status and sequence, session, market and policy version—is assembled into one canonical bundle.

STEP 2

Decide

Versioned rules run as a pure function of the bundle. No clock, cache or randomness participates. Unestablishable currency fails closed.

STEP 3

Prove

The decision emits commitments to state, policy and outcome. An external party can recompute the outcome from the package and published rules.

Figures come from deterministic, seeded simulations and recorded determinism campaigns. They reproduce from the accompanying materials on commodity hardware, but are bounded to their stated configurations. The demonstrator uses synthetic registry state and is not a live BetStop integration.

Talk to us

We work with wagering platforms, operators and independent reviewers on shadow-mode pilots. The gate can run alongside existing systems using synthetic or tokenised state while its operational boundaries are measured against real event streams. A technical evidence paper and a live demonstration are available on request.
